As a gamer that barely sees the sunlight for my daily dose of nutritious vitamin D, my skin is paler than Edward Cullen’s and I lack the energy to leap great bounds to save my lovely Kristen Stewart Bella. The only light and delight I need is from my computer screen and the delight of seeing nubs (noobs) being frustrated and rage quitting (quitting due to frustation) after I pwn (totally decimate) them. Sometimes after a late night of gaming, I just can’t play anymore even though I want to. My eyes droop. My face sinks into my skull as if my brain is about to implode. My brain just doesn’t function at top notch efficiency. If someone tries to have a conversation with me while I am late night gaming, it goes like this:
Friendly, Brain-Fried Fred: Hey. Can I use your blender to blend a calculator and put that on Youtube?
Me: Sure. Whatever. Go to the mall.
Friendly, Brain-Fried Fred: Why would I go to the mall?
Me: Yeah. The ball. It’s in the closet. It’s flat.
Friendly, Brain-Fried Fred: I’m going to take 100 dollars from your wallet.
Me: Okay. I’ll be at the meeting.
Combined with a lack of sleep and attention, I cannot hold a decent conversation. I tried many energy drinks to alleviate my fatigue but none of them gave me the boost I needed (some of them tasted delicious though i.e. Monster, my favorite). In my eternal pursuit of the Holy Grail of energy drinks, I found a blue colored energy drink aptly named Mana Energy Potion. Targeting gamers (me), Mana Energy Potion comes in a distinct 1.62 fl oz bottle that is very reminiscent of the potions in Blizzard’s Diablo series. Visually, it brought me back to those late nights, teleporting across dungeons trying to find rare items like SOJ’s (Stone of Jordan) and slaying Diablo countless times.

The memories. Sweet, sweet memories.
Filled with excitement, I quickly broke open the bottle and chugged it all. Before I actually drank the bottle, my tongue and stomach were dancing in delight, giddy with the opportunity to experience something new (different from their daily meals of ramen and spam). They no longer danced once the blue concoction swept over their dance floor. In curiosity, they giggled and drank the blue energy potion. I quickly cringed at the taste of Mana Energy Potion. For sure, it did its job of waking me up and giving me a rushing sensation of energy (like your first time on a roller-coaster). After my first bottle though, the taste became secondary and endurable. The aesthetic of the bottle led me to buy more bottles just for “show and tell” and decoration. Its appealing shape enticed me, enchanting me to buy three more bottles and only drink them when I truly needed to stay awake. Well, at least after drinking it, I’ll be able to stay awake as my sorceress successfully multi-casts Blizzards on mobs as my Warmth skill regenerates my mana.
Rating: 4 STARS! (“GOTTA HAVE IT!”)
